Frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser are one of the most popular lasers that used in medicine treatment. Frequency-doubled Nd:YAG laser can emit laser with a wavelength of 532 nm. Because of the high absorption rate of red substances to green laser, the blood vessels rich in hemoglobin can absorb most of the laser energy. Frequency-doubled Nd:YAG lasers (wavelength 532 nm) are used for pan-retinal photocoagulation in patients with diabetic retinopathy. In certain cases these lasers are also used to treat eye floaters.
