How is Co: spinel Crystal Formed?

Today, another furnace of cobalt spinel has been successfully grown.

In the artificial preparation process of cobalt Spinel (Co: Spinel) crystal, the most commonly used method is the lifting method.

To produce cobalt spinel crystals, the plant first prepares raw materials, including cobalt oxide and magnesium oxide, in appropriate proportions. The ingredients are then mixed and ground into a fine powder.

Next, the raw material is heated and melted in a platinum or iridium crucible. At the appropriate temperature, the seed crystals are preheated for a few minutes before being immersed into the liquid surface, so that the melt grows at the end of the seed crystals first, and then the crystals we need are finally obtained through necking, shoulder placement, equal diameter, finishing, annealing and other processes.
